I really was a former high school water girl for the cross-country team. If I knew then what I know now, I would've set up shop at the mid-point and just tossed water at them. Or I'd at least have a snack for them at the finish line, along with the water.
I started this blog as part of my participation with LLS Team In Training. (That's why you'll see mentions of donations to LLS TNT in older posts, and I'd still encourage you to learn more about it.) I moved the blog to this site to continue my (still slow) running adventures in South Texas.
Since this is the overview of me and my running adventures (attempts?), I figure this is a good place to share a list of my usual running gear:
I think the list confirms my amateur rankings. I've read articles on coaches and national champions who basically say you just need a halfway decent pair of running shoes. They were men. I'm sure a woman would've at least added a sports bra to her list.
If you have a running gear suggestion, please let me know about it.
