Today, for the first time in probably more than two years, my legs were exposed to sunlight. I'm hoping the reflection didn't frighten anyone when I went for my run tonight. I've been hiding them behind long pants and knee-high compression socks. I'm not sure how they keep getting cuts and bruises that take forever to heal, but they do. I've mentioned it to doctors. They didn't seem concerned. But after all their hard work, I figured my legs deserved a little sunlight. I covered five miles during Saturday's training, which was our superhero run. I didn't feel fit enough to wear my Superman outfit, despite having the cape. So I made up a hero. I was dressed as The Turtle. Below is a photo of The Turtle and my teammates. Here's a look at the leaderboard from that day. We start Saturday trainings with a mission moment and a check on the funds raised. I confess I like seeing my name on the board.
Help me keep my lead. Please make a donation if you haven't already.
