Six Months Later

In March, I bought a new pair of Hokas. Six months later, I got another pair.

How often a runner should change shoes is a matter of some debate. In this case, I don't think it was running that led to the need for another pair.

I have plantar fascia. To avoid pain during the day, I started wearing my Hokas daily.

I have to tell you it was super annoying. First, I hated wearing bright neon green shoes to work. There's no way to make those blend in with work clothes.

Second, it felt like I was wearing the shoes 24/7. I was annoyed every time I had to put them back on.

Around August, I found some affordable gray Hokas for daily use. But by then, I already added a lot of miles to my running shoes.

Former high school water girl (really) finally running.

I started this blog as part of my participation with LLS Team In Training. I moved it to this site to continue my (still slow) running adventures in South Texas.
